CUANDO DIOS TE PIDE DAR EL PRIMER PASO

La obediencia abre puertas que el miedo mantiene cerradas.

Texto base: Josué 3:13-17; Hebreos 11:8

"Y cuando las plantas de los pies de los sacerdotes... se asienten en las aguas del Jordán, las aguas... se dividirán." — Josué 3:13

El pueblo de Israel estaba a punto de entrar en la Tierra Prometida, pero había un gran obstáculo delante de ellos: el río Jordán estaba desbordado. Humanamente era imposible cruzarlo.

Lo sorprendente es que Dios no abrió el río antes de que ellos avanzaran. Les pidió que caminaran hacia las aguas primero. Solo cuando los sacerdotes pusieron sus pies en el Jordán, el milagro ocurrió y el río se abrió.

Muchas veces esperamos que Dios quite todos los obstáculos antes de obedecer. Queremos tener todas las respuestas, todas las garantías y toda la seguridad. Sin embargo, la fe verdadera no consiste en ver primero para creer después; consiste en obedecer primero y ver el poder de Dios manifestarse.

Quizás hoy Dios te está llamando a perdonar, a servir, a comenzar ese ministerio, a restaurar una relación o a dar un paso de fe que has estado postergando. No dejes que el temor te paralice. El milagro puede estar esperando tu obediencia.

Tres enseñanzas para aplicar

1. La fe siempre da el primer paso.
Dios honra a quienes avanzan confiando en Su Palabra, aunque todavía no vean el resultado.

2. La obediencia precede al milagro.
Los sacerdotes no vieron el río abrirse desde la orilla; lo vieron mientras obedecían.

3. Dios abre caminos donde no existen.
Cuando llegas al límite de tus fuerzas, comienza a manifestarse el poder sobrenatural de Dios.

Oración

Padre, ayúdame a confiar más en Tu voz que en mis temores. Dame el valor para obedecerte aun cuando no entienda todo lo que estás haciendo. Hoy decido dar ese paso de fe, creyendo que Tú abrirás el camino en el momento indicado. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén.

WHEN GOD ASKS YOU TO TAKE THE FIRST STEP

Obedience opens doors that fear keeps closed.

Scripture: Joshua 3:13–17; Hebrews 11:8

"And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests... shall rest in the waters of the Jordan, that the waters of the Jordan shall be cut off." — Joshua 3:13 (NKJV)

The people of Israel were about to enter the Promised Land, but there was a major obstacle before them: the Jordan River was overflowing its banks. Humanly speaking, crossing it was impossible.

What is remarkable is that God did not part the river before they moved forward. He asked them to walk toward the water first. Only when the priests stepped into the Jordan did the miracle happen, and the waters were divided.

Many times we wait for God to remove every obstacle before we obey. We want every answer, every guarantee, and complete security. But true faith is not seeing first and believing afterward; it is obeying first and then witnessing God's power at work.

Perhaps today God is calling you to forgive, to serve, to begin a ministry, to restore a relationship, or to take a step of faith that you have been postponing. Don't let fear keep you from moving forward. Your miracle may be waiting on your obedience.

Three Truths to Apply

1. Faith always takes the first step.

God honors those who move forward trusting His Word, even before they see the outcome.

2. Obedience comes before the miracle.

The priests did not see the river part while standing on the shore—they saw it happen as they obeyed.

3. God makes a way where there seems to be no way.

When you reach the end of your own strength, God's supernatural power begins to work.

Prayer

Father, help me to trust Your voice more than my fears. Give me the courage to obey You even when I do not understand everything You are doing. Today I choose to take that step of faith, believing that You will make a way at the right time. In Jesus' name, Amen.
